Bio
Kristen M. Teel, MPAS, PA-C, is a highly adaptable and skilled physician assistant with a strong background in orthopedic surgery, adult reconstruction, non-operative sports, and trauma. Her ability to work effectively with multiple surgeons and her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills make her a valued member of the Spine Care Partners team.
Kristen earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Pre-clinical at the University of Central Florida. She graduated with distinction, earning multiple honors and scholarships, including the UF Medical Grant, Founders’ Scholar Award, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society membership.
Before joining Spine Care Partners, Kristen gained extensive experience at UF Shands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions in patients of all ages. She is proficient in managing pre-operative and post-operative orders, interpreting advanced imaging and laboratory tests, administering injections, and providing patient education. Additionally, Kristen is experienced in the Epic EMR system and actively participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops to enhance her professional growth.
Kristen holds an active NCCPA certification, a Florida Board of Medicine license, a DEA license in good standing, and ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
Passionate about giving back to her community, Kristen has been involved in numerous service projects and events, including Gainesville Community Ministry Clinic, March of Dimes, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Mobile Outreach Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and Ronald McDonald House. Her dedication to patient care, ongoing learning, and community involvement makes Kristen an essential member of the Spine Care Partners team, where she is committed to providing exceptional patient care and helping individuals achieve optimal spinal health.
